SOBERBIA VICTORIA PARA GÓMEZ NOYA, WCS SIDNEY
Javier Gómez Noya se acaba de proclamar campeón, en la madrugada del Sábado 9 a Domingo 10 de Abril, de la primera prueba de la Dextro Energy WCS, celebrada hoy en la localidad Australiana de Sidney.
En la primera vuelta de natación, no logró salir entre los diez primeros del agua, pero ya en el primer segmento de ciclismo consiguió adelantar puestos, logrando estar en cabeza en algunos momentos, pero que poco a poco se fue descolgando perdiendo posiciones. Debido a la lluvia y pequeñas rachas de aire que dieron comienzo en la primera transición, Noya tuvo una pequeña caída, de la que logró incorporarse con rapidez, remontando la carrera y avanzando puestos.
Excelente transición para comenzar la carrera a pie, en la que avanzó posiciones dando una gran espectacularidad a la prueba, y consiguiendo llegar a meta en primera posición.
A la cita también acudieron los españoles Iván Raña (26ª posición), José Miguel Pérez (46ª posición), ambos dentro de los puntos para el Ranking Olímpico, y Mario Mola, que no logró llegar a meta, ya que se tuvo que retirarse en el segmento ciclista.
Según declaraciones de Javier Gómez Noya “Estoy muy contento de haber podido alcanzar mi meta y lograr este primer puesto en Sidney, primera prueba de la WCS”.
Una dura lucha por conseguir esta posición en el podio que ha estado muy disputado, y que con solo unos segundos de ventaja, una vez más, Javier Gómez Noya, ha conseguido marcar la diferencia.
